Autosuggestion is a term which applies to all suggestions and all self-administered stimuli which reach one’s mind through the five senses. Stated in another way, autosuggestion is self-suggestion. It is the agency of communication between that part of the mind where conscious thought take place, and that which serves as the seat of action for the subconscious mind.

Recall what has been said about the subconscious mind resembling a fertile garden spot, in which weeds will grow in abundance, if the seeds of more desirable crops are not sown therein. Autosuggestion is the agency of control through which an individual may voluntarily feed his subconscious mind on thoughts of a creative nature, or, by neglect, permit thoughts of a destructive nature to find their way into this rich garden of the mind.

有人曾說(shuō)過(guò)，潛意識(shí)就像花園中一塊肥沃的土地，如果不在上面播下所希望成長(zhǎng)的種子，就只會(huì)雜草叢生。自我暗示便是一種控制的媒介，經(jīng)過(guò)這一媒介，一個(gè)人可以自動(dòng)地用創(chuàng)造的思想去滋養(yǎng)潛意識(shí)。反之，如果忽視這種媒介，那么破壞性的思想就會(huì)進(jìn)入大腦的那塊沃土，并在那里生根發(fā)芽。
