Before going into the subject properly, I would like to make an observation which will help us to situate this very subject properly. La observación es la siguiente: la difusión de la que voy a hablar aquí no es separable del movimiento obrero, lo cual era mucho más evidente en la época de las internacionales que en la actualídad.The observation is the following: the diffusion I am going to talk about here is not separable from the workers' movement, which was much more evident at the time of the internationals than it is today. Digo esto porque es corriente hablar de historia de las ideas como si las ideas se moviesen por sí solas. El protagonista del movimiento de las ideas marxistas es la clase obrera en cuanto formación social surgida bajo el industrialismo moderno.I say this because it is common to speak of the history of ideas as if ideas moved by themselves. The protagonist of the movement of Marxist ideas is the working class as a social formation that emerged under modern industrialism.Con ello no quiero decir ni que todo el proletariado moderno haya asumido el marxismo (bastaría el ejemplo del proletariado inglés para rebatir esto) ni que el marxismo haya influido sólo en ambientes proletarios (recuérdese a este respecto la penetración en las universida des europeas a partir de los a?os 60 de este siglo). Pero lo que es innegable, yendo ya al caso concreto espa?ol, esla interdependencia entre partido marxista y difusión del marxismo.By this I do not mean either that the entire modern proletariat has taken up Marxism (the example of the English proletariat would suffice to disprove this) nor that Marxism has influenced only proletarian circles (remember in this respect the penetration of European universities from the 1960s onwards).
