大家都常常說：Time is money. 時間就是金錢。

You know what? 你知道嗎？在英語中，就語言的運用來講，時間確實就是金錢呢。很多動詞都可以與這兩個詞搭配使用。

比如，你可以spend（花費）錢，也可以spend時間：

I spent over 100 yuan today.

我今天花了100多塊。

I spent two days in Cambridge.

我在劍橋花了兩天。

你可以afford（花得起）錢，也可以afford時間：

I can’t afford 800 yuan for a ticket.

我負擔不起800元買一張門票。

I can’t afford more than a week off work.

我不能離開工作超過一個星期。

你可以save（節(jié)約）錢，也可以save時間：

I’ve been trying to save at least 500 yuan a month.

我在努力每個月存最少500元。

Let’s get a taxi. It’ll save at least 20 minutes.

我們打個車吧，能節(jié)省最少20分鐘。

你可以waste（浪費）錢，也可以waste時間：

Why waste money on things you don't need?

為什么要浪費錢買你不需要的東西？

Hurry up, we’re wasting time.

快點, 我們在浪費時間。

你可以run out of（花光）錢，也可以runout of時間：

I’ve run out of cash.

我現金花光了。

We’ve run out of time.

我們沒時間了。

美好的東西worth（值得花）錢，也worth時間：

My second-hand car is worth the money.

我的二手車錢花得很值。

This museum is definitely worth two whole day.

這個博物館值得花兩整天的時間。

你還可以spare（抽出、撥出、空出）錢或時間：

Can you spare me a few minutes?

你能抽幾分鐘時間給我嗎？

Can you spare me 20 yuan for a cup of coffee?

你能給我20元讓我喝杯咖啡嗎？

So, you should
spend your money/time reasonably,
in case you’ll run out ofit;
don’t waste your time/money;
save your money/time;
thus you can afford money/time when you need it.
