Use OPC Test Client to test the connection

OPC Test Client is a utility that enables you to test your data connections if you are using Remote OPC Client functionality. This utility is installed automatically as part of Remote FactoryTalk Gateway installation on the FactoryTalk Gateway product DVD.

OPC TEST 客戶端是一個實用工具，它能確保你測試你的數(shù)據(jù)在你使用遠程OPC客戶端功能時。這是一個自動安裝程序作為Remote FactoryTalk Gatew（遠程工廠對話的網(wǎng)關）的一部分存在于FactoryTalk Geteway 產(chǎn)品DVD上。

To use OPC Test Client:
OPC Test客戶端使用：

1. Click Start service on the FactoryTalk Gateway Configuration dialog to start the service.
在FactoryTalk Geteway配置對話框上點擊OPC Test以啟動服務。

2. Run OPC Test Client by clicking Start > Programs > Rockwell Software > RSLinx > Tools > OPC Test Client.
運行OPC Test客戶端，通過點擊開始>程序>Rockwell 軟件>RSlinx>工具>OPC Test

3. Click Server > Connect from the OPC Test Client menu bar.
點擊服務>從OPC 測試服務菜單欄連接

An OPC client will find the available OPC servers on a workstation. If you are using an OPC client that is remote to a FactoryTalk Gateway, then you will need to install Remote FactoryTalk Gateway that is included on the product DVD.
OPC客戶端將在工作站上發(fā)現(xiàn)可用的OPC 服務。如果你在使用OPC 服務端遠程進入FactoryTalk網(wǎng)關，你將需要安裝遠程FacktoryTalk網(wǎng)關，它也包含在產(chǎn)品DVD上。

4. When the OPC client makes a connection with FactoryTalk Gateway, select FactoryTalk Gateway as the server name you want to connect to. If the OPC client supports browsing, select FactoryTalk Gateway from the list of available servers.
當OPC創(chuàng)建了一個同F(xiàn)actoryTalk網(wǎng)關的連接，選擇一個你想連上的FactoryTalk作為服務名，只要OPC客戶端支持瀏覽，就從可用的服務列表上選擇一個FactoryTalk 網(wǎng)關。

5. Click Group > Add Group to add a group, which is a collection of tags with the same update (scan) rate. Name the group and specify an update rate. Click OK.
點擊組>Add Group可添加一個組，該組是具有相同更新（掃描）速率的標記集合。命名組并指定更新率。單擊“確定”。
Tip:
The server will return the group update rate closest to the rate requested by the client. The supported update rates are: 10, 20, 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000... to 60000 ms.

在彈出的添加新組界面，輸入Group Name(組名；按你需要取一個你喜歡的組名即可，也可以不要組名)，再點擊OK

6. Click Item > Add Item to open the Browse window to enable browsing for tags.
點擊Item>添加項以打開瀏覽窗口以啟用標簽瀏覽。

在Add New OPC Item界面，Item Name中一定填上PLC地址，然后其將添加到左側(cè)Item to be Added列表中，然后點擊AddItem可添加新的PLC地址

也可將左下角RS OPC GATEWAY展開，選擇一個PLC，然后在右下角，點擊相應PLC地址，也可添加到地址列表中。

Item中添加上復制的地址后，在左側(cè)items 列表中就會有相應的地址。（添加上你要監(jiān)控的PLC地址后，點擊OK，其實就已經(jīng)可以實現(xiàn)PLC地址監(jiān)控了）

點擊上圖中的OK后如下圖（PLC地址做了些處理），PLC的值和連接狀態(tài)如紫色圈中所示，運行的平均值如紅色圈所示。

7. Locate and expand the FactoryTalk Gateway root.
找到并展開FactoryTalk網(wǎng)關根目錄。

8. Click the controller containing the tags you want to browse.
單擊包含要瀏覽的標記的控制器。

9. Click the Online folder to expose the controller tags.
選擇在線文件夾以監(jiān)控控制器標簽。

10. Select the tags you want to access (up to, but not exceeding, the activation count).
選擇一個想看的標簽（最多，不能超過激數(shù)量）

11. Click OK to add the tags and start collecting data.
點擊OK以添加標簽并開始收集數(shù)據(jù)。
