1. 最容易的從句

When I was young, I'd listen to the radio. Carpenters的聲音傳唱了《Yesterday once more》的經(jīng)典。

這就是狀語從句。沒有名詞性從句的復(fù)雜，沒有定語從句的特殊，只有干脆和純粹。

你只需要了解種類，記住幾個(gè)單詞和詞組的用法，就可以徹底搞定。

所以，鄙人認(rèn)為，狀語從句是三大類從句中最容易的。

無論是什么種類，引導(dǎo)詞引導(dǎo)狀語從句，外加一個(gè)主句，將兩個(gè)以上動(dòng)詞緊密銜接。

比如When I was young, I'd listen to the radio.中，when就是這個(gè)引導(dǎo)詞，從句是when I was young，主句是I'd listen to the radio。when翻譯為“當(dāng)”，理解了，全句意思就自然出來了。所以狀語從句的學(xué)習(xí)，最重要的就是借助大量練習(xí)，熟悉這些引導(dǎo)詞。

2. 狀語從句的種類

以狀語具體的種類為界，狀語從句可以分為時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)、原因、條件、目的、結(jié)果、讓步、方式和比較等九種。下面一一介紹。

2.1 時(shí)間狀語從句

引導(dǎo)詞：when, as, while, as soon as, before, after, since（自從...以來） , not...until（直到…才）until/till, the minute, the moment, the second, every time, the day, the instant, immediately, directly（立即）, no sooner … than, hardly …when, scarcely … when（一...就...）。斜體部分詞義類似。從句表時(shí)間。

當(dāng)用no sooner … than，hardly …when，scarcely … when作為引導(dǎo)詞的時(shí)候，從句要部分倒裝。

I didn’t realize how special my mother was until I became an adult.

No sooner had I arrived home than it began to rain.

2.2 地點(diǎn)狀語從句

引導(dǎo)詞：where, wherever, anywhere, everywhere。從句表地點(diǎn)。

Where there is no rain, farming is difficult or impossible.

2.3 原因狀語從句

引導(dǎo)詞：because, since, as,  now that（既然）, in that（因?yàn)椋? considering that, given that，seeing that（考慮到）。斜體部分詞義類似。從句表原因。

Now that everybody has come, let’s begin our conference.

2.4 目的狀語從句

引導(dǎo)詞：so that, in order that, lest, in case, for fear that (以防萬一), in the hope that, for the purpose that, to the end that。斜體部分詞義類似。從句表目的。

The teacher raised his voice on purpose that the students in the back could hear more clearly.

2.5 結(jié)果狀語從句

引導(dǎo)詞：so … that, such … that, such that, to the degree that, to the extent that, to such a degree that。從句表結(jié)果。

He got up so early that he caught the first bus.

2.6 條件狀語從句

引導(dǎo)詞：if, unless,whether(whether...or not), as/so long as, only if, providing/provided that, supposing that, in case(以防萬一), on condition that.

從句表?xiàng)l件。

You will certainly succeed so long as you keep on trying.

2.7 讓步狀語從句

引導(dǎo)詞：though, although, even if, even though，as(用在讓步狀語從句中必須要倒裝)，while ( 一般用在句首表“雖然” )，no matter, in spite of the fact that, whatever, whoever, wherever, whenever, however, whichever。從句表讓步，也就是退一步。

Much as I respect him, I can’t agree to his proposal.

2.8 比較狀語從句

引導(dǎo)詞：as(同級比較), than(不同程度的比較)，the more … the more … ; just as …， so…; A is to B what/as X is to Y（A和B的關(guān)系就如同X和Y）; no … more than; not so much A as B。從句表對比。

She is as bad-tempered as her mother.

2.9 方式狀語從句

引導(dǎo)詞：as, as if, how, the way。

從句表方式。

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

When I was a boy, I wanted to be a successful person. So I chose to study really hard at school where I spent most of my spare time. Unluckliy, I didn't succeed as scheduled in that I had terrible performance in National College Entrance Examination. I studied hard in my college days in the hope that I can be admitted by a famous postgraduate university. I even studied so late at night that sometimes my roommates said I disturbed them. But as long as the offer was sent to me in 2013, my roommates expressed their appreciation. Even though it took another four years to get into a prestigious university, I think my efforts finally paid off. I am better than I used to be because now I am more confident, usually acting as if I could achieve more.
