2019年，正逢列奧那多·達(dá)芬奇逝世500周年，英國(guó)皇家郵政（Royal Mail）發(fā)行了一系列的紀(jì)念性郵票，帶來(lái)12幅達(dá)芬奇的知名創(chuàng)作，以此緬懷這位文藝復(fù)興時(shí)期的藝術(shù)大師。

這12幅作品都是隸屬于英國(guó)皇家收藏的一部分，保存在英國(guó)溫莎堡內(nèi)，英國(guó)皇家收藏?fù)碛泄灿?jì)超過(guò)550張的達(dá)芬奇紙本繪畫(huà)，由國(guó)王查理二世于1670年左右收購(gòu)而成。

列奧納多·達(dá)芬奇（Leonardo da Vinci 1452－1519），是意大利文藝復(fù)興時(shí)期的一個(gè)博學(xué)者：在繪畫(huà)、音樂(lè)、建筑、數(shù)學(xué)、幾何學(xué)、解剖學(xué)、生理學(xué)、動(dòng)物學(xué)、植物學(xué)、天文學(xué)、氣象學(xué)、地質(zhì)學(xué)、地理學(xué)、物理學(xué)、光學(xué)、力學(xué)、發(fā)明、土木工程等領(lǐng)域都有顯著的成就。
