但其實(shí)兩周在英式英語(yǔ)里有專門的叫法

知道的人并不多

其實(shí) fortnight 這個(gè)說(shuō)法

源于“ Fourteen nights”

“十四個(gè)夜晚”也就是兩個(gè)星期、兩周

如果你和英國(guó)人聊天

用fortnight會(huì)顯得你的英語(yǔ)更加地道

比如

My aunt's coming in a

 fortnight's time. 

我的姨媽將在兩周后到這兒來(lái)。

We had a big snow here a

 fortnight ago. 

兩周前我們這里下了一場(chǎng)大雪。

人家也不說(shuō) Thank you

而是說(shuō)

雖然以前的課本上

 cheers 指的是聚會(huì)場(chǎng)合的“干杯”

但在這真不是...
