這些治國的賢才們勤勤懇懇，換來了天下太平，百官各安其位。但歷史上也不乏動蕩時期，晉文公、楚莊王先后稱霸，爾后趙國、魏國受困于連橫。

      Because of the joint efforts of sages and talents, peace prevailed once again and all officials could do their part. But history also sees upheavals. The two powers Ch’u and Chin swayed alternatively. And then, the inter-state chaining strategy termed Chain thwarted the two states, Chao and Way.

    晉國向虞國借路去消滅虢國，晉文公在踐土召集諸侯歃血會盟。蕭何遵奉漢高祖的約法三章，而韓非慘死在他自己所主張的苛刑之下。

The State of Chin asked the State of Yü's permission to go through it to fight against the State of Kuo. The Lord of Chin formed an ally at Chient’u, hence what is called Chient’u Allies.  Hsiao, the prime minister, obeyed the Emperor's Three-point Rule, hence the nation’s prosperity; Hanfei was martyred according to the strict laws he made himself, so hard and cruel.

    秦將白起、王翦，趙將廉頗、李牧，用兵作戰(zhàn)最為精通。他們的聲威遠(yuǎn)揚(yáng)到北方的沙漠，其美名永遠(yuǎn)流傳在華夏千古史冊之中。

    General Riser and General Cutter of the State of Ch’in and General Verity (Lien P’o), and General Moo (Li Mu) of the State of Chao were capable men. They commanded their troops deftly and duly. They overpowered the desert states, and their names have glorified Cathay’s war history.

    九州之內(nèi)都留下了大禹治水的足跡，全國各郡在秦并六國之后便歸于一統(tǒng)了。五岳以泰山為尊，歷代帝王都在云山和亭山主持禪禮。

     Worm (Yü) left his footprints, having reined the devastating flood all over the land. All the states were unified or centralized by Ch’in, costing much blood. Mt. Arch standing in the east of the empire is like a paradise. Royal rituals are performed here on top of Mt. Cloud and Mt. Pavilion with bumper sacrifice offered.
