視覺詞(sight word),也叫高頻詞,是英語(yǔ)啟蒙讀物中出現(xiàn)頻率最高的單詞,例如:a、and、for、the、is、in、of、that、the、so、on等。研究顯示,兒童英語(yǔ)讀物中50%-75%的內(nèi)容由這些視覺詞構(gòu)成。

 

比較常用的視覺詞是有Edward William Dolch博士通過分析當(dāng)時(shí)的兒童讀物整理而成,于1948年發(fā)表,包括220個(gè)單詞。

今天栗子??老師要和大家一起來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)的內(nèi)容是蘇斯博士的一篇最最著名的文章《Green Eggs and Ham》(《綠色雞蛋和火腿》),這個(gè)故事不復(fù)雜,講的是兩個(gè)人物的對(duì)話,一個(gè)人物叫“Sam-I-am”,另一個(gè)人物沒有明確的名字,我們暫且叫他“壞脾氣先生”,他的人物設(shè)計(jì)特別像藍(lán)精靈里面的“厭厭”,對(duì)任何事物都排斥、厭惡、不肯嘗試,但偏巧就碰到了“Sam-I-am”這個(gè)“一根筋”,特別執(zhí)著、變通、好脾氣。


“Sam-I-am”向“壞脾氣先生”推薦一道菜,就是標(biāo)題中的“Green eggs and ham”,“壞脾氣先生”說(shuō)什么也不肯吃,但是“Sam-I-am”就是發(fā)揮了他鍥而不舍的釘子精神、不斷變通,設(shè)計(jì)各種條件,讓“壞脾氣先生”嘗試“綠色雞蛋和火腿”,不論“壞脾氣先生”如何拒絕,他都不放棄,最后,終于“壞脾氣先生”為了擺脫“Sam-I-am”的糾纏,答應(yīng)嘗試一口“綠色雞蛋和火腿”,結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn)自己愛上了這道菜,結(jié)局真是“happ ending”,如果把堅(jiān)韌的“Sam-I-am”換成家長(zhǎng),把“壞脾氣先生”換成厭食的孩子,這個(gè)故事也非常逼真哦。


這個(gè)故事依然沿襲了蘇斯博士狂野的想象力,和句子的押韻感覺。整個(gè)故事特別具有洗腦功能,蘇斯博士反復(fù)不斷進(jìn)行重復(fù)關(guān)鍵的詞匯和句型。


《綠色雞蛋和火腿》故事的創(chuàng)作源于Dr.Seuss和一位朋友打賭,能否用50個(gè)單詞寫成一個(gè)故事。于是便有了這本膾炙人口的書,并成為蘇斯博士韻文詩(shī)文的經(jīng)典代表!


這個(gè)故事大約由44個(gè)不同單詞構(gòu)成,其中29個(gè)單詞都屬于“視覺詞”,視覺詞所占的比例達(dá)到66%。這個(gè)故事朗朗上口,熟讀之后特別容易背誦。最近由于組織這篇文章,栗子??老師的腦子里面回響的都是green eggs and ham。真可謂洗腦文??!
