You can’t connect the dots looking forward,

You can only connect them looking backwards.

So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.

You have to trust in something.

你必須有信念

Your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.

不管那是你的勇氣，命運(yùn)，人生，還是因緣

Because believing that the dots will connect down the road.

因?yàn)橄嘈派钪械狞c(diǎn)滴會(huì)在人生的旅途中串聯(lián)起來(lái)

We give you the confidence to follow your heart,

才能有信念忠于自我

even when it leads you off the well-worn path.

即使你的選擇和別人不一樣

And that will make all the difference.

卻會(huì)讓你與眾不同

Your time is limited.

你的時(shí)間很有限

So don’t waste living someone else life.

所在不要將它浪費(fèi)在重復(fù)其他人的生活中

Don’t be trapped by dogma:

別受規(guī)條約束

Which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.

別活在其他人對(duì)你的期待中

Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.

不要讓他人喧華紛擾的見(jiàn)解淹沒(méi)了你內(nèi)心的聲音

You’ve got to find what your love.

你必須找到你熱愛(ài)的事物 

And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers.

這包括你的事業(yè)和你的伴侶

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life.

你的工作將占據(jù)你生命中相當(dāng)大的一部分

And the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.

唯一你能發(fā)自內(nèi)心獲得滿足的方法，就是相信你做的工作是對(duì)的。

And the only way to do great work……is to love what you do.

愛(ài)你所做的事，才能成就不凡

If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking.

Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

You’re going to have some ups and you’re going to have some downs.

Most people give up on themselves easily.

大多數(shù)人會(huì)輕易選擇放棄

You know the human spirit is powerful?

但你知道人的意志有多強(qiáng)大嗎？

There is nothing as powerful. It’s hard to kill the human spirit!

沒(méi)有任何東西像意志一樣強(qiáng)大。人的意志是難以扼殺的

Anybody can feel good, when they have their health, their bills are paid, they have happy relationships.

任何人在個(gè)人健康，賬務(wù)狀況和感情生活均良好的環(huán)境中，都能感到幸福

Anybody can be positive then,

 此時(shí)任何人都能積極向上

Anybody can have a large vision then,

任何人都能有更偉大的理想

Anybody can have faith under those kinds of circumstances.

任何人都能有信念

The real challenge of growth, mentally, emotionally and spiritually,

成長(zhǎng)路上真正的挑戰(zhàn)，不管是心理上，情感上還是精神上

comes when you get knocked down.

是當(dāng)你被擊倒的時(shí)候

It takes courage to act.

起身而行是需要勇氣的

Part of being hungry when you have been defeated.

被擊倒仍是謙虛

It takes courage……to start over again.

放下重新開(kāi)始也是需要勇氣的

Fear kills dreams.

恐懼，扼殺夢(mèng)想

Fear kills hope.

恐懼，扼殺希望

Fear put people in the hospital.

恐懼，使人一蹶不振

Fear can age you.

恐懼使你衰老

Can hold you back from doing something that you know within yourself that you are 

capable of doing, but it will paralyze you.

會(huì)阻止你去做一些力所能及的事，但恐懼也會(huì)使你麻木不仁。

At the end of your feeling is nothing.

你的情緒 并不重要，因?yàn)槊總€(gè)情緒起伏過(guò)后你仍可能一無(wú)所獲

But at the end of every principle is a promise.

但是要堅(jiān)持原則， 因?yàn)槊總€(gè)原則都是一個(gè)自我承諾

Behind your little feelings, it might not be absolutely nothing at the end of your little 

feelings.

你的喜怒哀樂(lè)， 也許會(huì)帶來(lái)些什么

But behind every principle is a promise.

但是堅(jiān)持原則才是一種自我承諾

And some of you in your life, the reason why you not at your goal right now, 

你們當(dāng)中的一些人至今尚未成功

‘ cause you’re just all about your feelings.

是因?yàn)槟銈兲^(guò)情緒化

All on your feelings,  your don’t feel like waking – who does?

你被情緒所主導(dǎo)，如早上心情不好，不想起床？誰(shuí)又想呢？

Every day you say ‘no’ to your dreams,

每天你都對(duì)自己的夢(mèng)想說(shuō)“不“

You might be pushing your dreams back a whole six months, a whole year!

你可能會(huì)把目標(biāo)延后整整六個(gè)月，甚至一年

That one single day, that one day you didn’t get up could have pushed your stuff 

back, I don’t know how long.

也許你沒(méi)有起身鞭策自己的那一瞬，天知道你就后退了多少

Don’t allow your emotions to control you.

不要讓你的情緒控制了自己

We are emotional, but you want to begin to discipline your emotions.

我們是情緒動(dòng)物，但是你要紀(jì)律自己的情緒

If you don’t discipline and contain your emotions, they will use you.

如果你不控制和約束自己的情緒，你將反被情緒吞噬

You want it, and you’re going to go all out to have it .

你想要全力以赴毫不保留

It’s not going to be easy, when you want to change.

想改變不是一件容易的事

It’s not easy. If it were in fact easy,

從來(lái)就不簡(jiǎn)單。如果很簡(jiǎn)單，那每個(gè)人都可以做到了

But if you’re serious, you’ll go all out.

不過(guò)如果你態(tài)度認(rèn)真， 你就會(huì)全力以赴

I’m in control here.

我要主宰自己的未來(lái)

I’m not going to let this get me down, I’m not going to let this destroy me .

不會(huì)讓外在事物打擊我，摧毀我

I’m coming back!

我會(huì)重新站起來(lái)

And I’ll be stronger and better because of it!

我還會(huì)變得更強(qiáng)更好

You have got to make a declaration that this is what you stand for!

你一定要明確你想要的

You’re standing up for your dreams,

為夢(mèng)想奮戰(zhàn)

You’re standing up for peace of mind,

為內(nèi)心的寧?kù)o而戰(zhàn)

You’re standing up for health.

為健康而戰(zhàn)

Take full responsibility for your life.

對(duì)你的人生負(fù)起完全的責(zé)任

Accept where your are, 

接受現(xiàn)在的自己

and the responsibility that you want to take yourself where you want to go.

對(duì)未來(lái)想要成為的自己負(fù)責(zé)

You can decide that I am going to live each day as if it were my last!

把每天都當(dāng)成最后一天來(lái)過(guò)

Live your life with passion,

活出熱情

With some drive.

拿出魄力

Decide that you are going to push yourself.

下決心鞭策自己

The last chapter to your life has not been written yet, 

你生命中最后的篇章仍待譜寫(xiě)

and it doesn’t matter about what happened yesterday,

昨天發(fā)生的種種事情并不重要

It doesn’t matter about what happened to you, what matter is:

過(guò)去發(fā)生在你身上的事也不重要，重要的是

“What are you going to do about it?”

你打算怎么做？

This year I will make this goal become a reality.

I won’t talk about it anymore.

To persevere I think is important for everybody.

Don’t give up! Don’t give in!
