More than 1,500 floral arrangements have mushroomed in 200 streets and squares around Beijing in celebration of China’s 67th National Day.

為歡度中國第67個國慶日，北京全城200多條街道、廣場上，布置了1500多處花卉景觀。

The country’s National Day falls on October 1 every year, with elaborate displays and floral decorations set up around the city. The highly-anticipated flowerbeds along Chang’an Avenue and Tian’anmen Square drive throngs of tourists and local residents on annual basis for a chance to be bedazzled, and an opportunity to be photogenic.

每年10月1日為中國國慶節(jié)，每逢這一天，北京全城都是一派裝飾講究、花團錦簇的景象。長安街上、天安門廣場上絢麗奪目的花壇，吸引大批游客和當?shù)鼐用袂皝怼澳甓纫挥^”，萬花迷眼之余，更是可以美美地拍照！

2009年，天安門廣場上，第一只花籃橫空出世。

Visitors to Tian’anmen Square during National Day had long indulged in the view of the flowerbed – a mosaic-like intricate work of colorful and bright flowers. The arrangement would sometimes be accompanied with a fountain in the center, at other times a giant red lantern would be on display. But in 2009, a larger-than-life flower basket debuted as part of the décor, adding an extra dose of magnificence to the already breathtaking scene. It soon became a quasi-annual ritual. This year’s flowerbed measures 50 meters in diameter, mounted by a 16-meter-high vase of flowers. Chinese roses, Magnolia denudata, narcissus and sweet osmanthus blossom and dangle over the vessel, symbolizing a thriving and prosperous country.

國慶期間，游客徘徊在天安門廣場上，癡迷于那巧奪天工的花壇造型，流連忘返?；ɑ芫坝^的布置，有時候會于中心置放噴泉，有時候就擺放一個大紅燈籠。2009年，一只具有傳奇色彩的花籃橫空出世，為本就奪人心魄的布景額外增添了一抹非凡光彩。自此后，花籃迅速躥紅，成為每年的一道必出盛景。今年的花壇設(shè)計直徑50米，飾以16米高的花瓶造型。搖曳在花壇上方的月季、玉蘭、水仙、桂花象征著中國的繁榮昌盛。

經(jīng)設(shè)在花壇周邊的激光系統(tǒng)投射不同光影，展出的花團景觀可以變幻出不同圖案。

A golden bridge similar to Zhaozhou Bridge, a stone bridge built in the Sui Dynasty (AD581-618), on display in Dongdan on Chang’an Avenue. The bridge consists of nearly 20,000 bricks.

一條神似趙州橋的金橋，于長安街東單展出，整橋共計用磚20000余塊。趙州橋建于隋朝（公元581-618），為石橋。

Topiaries reflecting the theme of “Idyllic Mountains and Water” on display in Dongdan on Chang’an Avenue. The design is set to not only celebrate China’s National Day but also welcome the Horticultural Expo in 2019 and Beijing Olympic Winter Games in 2022.

Mosaiculture, the art of creating designs out of flowerbeds, has been an icon of China’s National Day since 1986 and is the equivalent of the firework shows in Hong Kong. The designs of the megastructures change on yearly basis according to a unique theme. In 2008, for example, the Olympic theme was prevalent as the city hosted the sporting event.

立體花壇，一種在花壇上發(fā)揮創(chuàng)造設(shè)計的藝術(shù)，自1986年以來就已成為國慶日的標配，等同于香港的煙火秀。這種大型花卉設(shè)計，依照每年設(shè)定的獨立主題，會做年度調(diào)整。譬如2008年，因北京主辦運動賽事，奧林匹克這一主題廣為人知。
