When I am an old woman I shall wear purple

With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me.

And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves

And satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter.

I shall sit down on the pavement when I’m tired

簡介：

在西方世俗文化中，紫衣配紅帽的穿衣風(fēng)格類似于我國的“紅配綠，賽狗屁”。這首詩歌沒有使用晦澀的文學(xué)手法，十分白話，但其中洋溢的叛逆精神和生命力卻十分令人喜愛。

Jenny Joseph

作者Jenny Joseph (1935- ) 出生于英國伯明翰，曾在牛津大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)文學(xué)。這首她最為人所知的詩歌寫作于1961年。

受這首著名詩歌的啟發(fā)，“紅帽會(huì)（The Red Hat Society）”這個(gè)國際女性社團(tuán)組織在1998年于美國成立(網(wǎng)址www.redhatsociety.com)，至今已在超過30個(gè)國家成立了20 000個(gè)分會(huì)。在集會(huì)活動(dòng)時(shí)，社團(tuán)的女性成員會(huì)像詩中描述的那樣著紫衣、戴紅帽。
