Dear Diary,

     This weekend Madeleine and I visited some of our friends in Zhenjiang. It was a lot of fun. We went to the White Snake Temple which was such a wonderful experience. The architecture of the temple and surrounding buildings was absolutely breath-taking. I couldn't stop taking pictures because it was just too beautiful! As we entered into the temple I felt such an incredible vibe. I loved seeing the munks in the temples, and watching people come and bow to the Buddah statue. I don't know a lot about Buddhism, but I did take a class in college that taught me a little bit about Buddhism and Taoism. It was one of my favorite classes acutally, I loved it. I felt so lucky to be in a real temple and to smell the incense, and watch the munks reading and studying. I think visiting temples is one of my favorite things to do here in China. 

     After we went to the temple we saw the White Snake Cave. It was fun reading and learning about that Chinese Legend. After the cave we took paddle boats around the lake. It was a really nice day and we loved spending some time out on the water. We also met some boys from Cambodia and also America so it was fun speaking English with people who were also foreign to China. Everyday I'm reminded how many wonderful things and people are here in China. I'm so grateful to be here!

   這周瑪?shù)铝漳呛臀胰ユ?zhèn)江拜訪了幾個(gè)朋友，我們玩得很開(kāi)心。我們?nèi)チ死追逅?，這是一次很棒的經(jīng)歷。雷鋒塔和它周?chē)ㄖ脑煨妥屓梭@嘆不已。它們的美麗讓我忍不住一直拍照片。當(dāng)我走進(jìn)塔內(nèi)的時(shí)候，我感覺(jué)到了它強(qiáng)大的氣場(chǎng)。我喜歡里面的僧人，也喜歡看塔內(nèi)來(lái)來(lái)去去參拜佛祖的人們。我對(duì)佛教了解的不多，但是我在大學(xué)曾修過(guò)一門(mén)課，課上老師給我們介紹過(guò)佛教和道教的一些知識(shí)，這門(mén)課實(shí)際上還是我最喜歡的課程之一。能置身于一座真的寶塔中，聞到香爐的味道、看僧人們念經(jīng)誦佛，我感覺(jué)很幸運(yùn)。我覺(jué)得參觀寶塔是我來(lái)中國(guó)最喜歡做的事情之一。

   從塔里出來(lái)后，我們又去了白蛇洞。閱讀并了解到中國(guó)的神話是件很有趣的事情。而后，我們乘船游覽了這條湖。我們?cè)诼飞线€遇到了幾個(gè)來(lái)自柬埔寨和美國(guó)的男孩，能夠跟幾個(gè)講英語(yǔ)的也是作為外國(guó)人來(lái)到中國(guó)的人交流很開(kāi)心。每天，我都提醒我自己在這里發(fā)生的所有美好的事和人。對(duì)于來(lái)到這里，我一直心存感激！
