open /etc/sysctl.conf add the following lines to the end of the file: #disable ipv6 net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1 net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6 = 1 net.ipv6.conf.lo.disable_ipv6 = 1 You can check whether IPv6 is enabled on your machine with the following command: $ cat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/all/disable_ipv6 A return value of 0 means IPv6 is enabled, a value of 1 means disabled (that’s what we want). |
