　　每年一度的美國“搖滾名人堂” 入主儀式其實(shí)就是西方搖滾樂界成就獎(jiǎng)，其基金會(huì)成立于1983年，第一屆頒獎(jiǎng)典禮于1986年舉行。相比被視為美國流行樂壇最高榮譽(yù)獎(jiǎng)的“格萊美獎(jiǎng)”，“搖滾名人堂”顯得厚重許多，它考慮到了入選音樂人對(duì)整個(gè)搖滾樂歷史的貢獻(xiàn)

，更能證明他們的輝煌成就。這些入主的音樂人，首先他們被提名的時(shí)間必須距離首張專輯發(fā)行25年以上，此外要對(duì)推動(dòng)搖滾樂發(fā)展做出了足夠的貢獻(xiàn)，并且在搖滾史上具備不朽的地位。然后由搖滾歷史學(xué)家組成的評(píng)委會(huì)提出5至7人的提名名單，并通過因特網(wǎng)傳遞給700
