  想成為Google的編程工程師,最好有點(diǎn)想象力。否則,別說(shuō)進(jìn)入Google,恐怕連招聘廣告你都看不懂!
  10月底,Google在美國(guó)《麻省技術(shù)評(píng)論》、《LinuxJournal》、《Mensa》、《今日物理》等幾本專(zhuān)業(yè)雜志上,刊登了一份“Google實(shí)驗(yàn)室能力傾向測(cè)試”。
  試卷開(kāi)頭,蠱惑地寫(xiě)著“試試看!把答案寄回Google,你有希望去Google總部參觀(guān),并成為我們其中一員”。
  測(cè)試只有21個(gè)問(wèn)題。道道刁鉆,劍走偏鋒。
  實(shí)打?qū)嵉臄?shù)學(xué)題,比如“用3種顏色為20面體上色,每個(gè)面一種顏色,有多少種組合?你會(huì)選擇哪3種顏色”。
  毫無(wú)頭緒的主觀(guān)題:“什么是世上最美的數(shù)學(xué)方程式?”
  和數(shù)不清的自由發(fā)揮題:“以下空白,填上點(diǎn)好東西”或者“用你的畫(huà)筆,改變這張考卷的外觀(guān)”……
  全球頂尖高校的BBS上,都流傳著這份測(cè)試題,和各式各樣確定或不確定的答案。
  “幾天之內(nèi),Google總部收到了成千上萬(wàn)份答案。”Google的副總裁艾倫。尤斯塔斯說(shuō),“其中有很多來(lái)自經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家、教授和高智商人士。他們無(wú)意應(yīng)聘,只想挑戰(zhàn)一下自己的能力。”
  重金懸賞“金頭腦”
  Google撥出5萬(wàn)美元基金,等待投出答案的天才程序員。
  只要沖到最后一輪淘汰賽,Google就用這筆錢(qián),招待他們?nèi)oogle加州的“夢(mèng)幻總部”面試。不入選,也能免費(fèi)玩一遭,何樂(lè)不為。
  說(shuō)到“手面奢侈”,Google當(dāng)仁不讓。
  除了善待自個(gè)兒的員工,高額分紅配股,把他們像托兒所小孩一樣照顧,Google每年還在網(wǎng)絡(luò)上“現(xiàn)金懸賞”,招聘“獵人”編寫(xiě)高難度程序。
  去年,“揭皇榜”的程序高手SergioSan,用一個(gè)小程序,換來(lái)1萬(wàn)美元報(bào)酬。
  這個(gè)阿根廷程序員樂(lè)開(kāi)了花,他在公司工作半年,都賺不到這個(gè)數(shù)字。
  Google慣用“整蠱題”
  Google上一輪招聘,今年夏天剛結(jié)束。
  用的也是一道“科學(xué)麻瓜”看不懂的“整蠱題”,而且,堂而皇之掛在硅谷各大地鐵站上。9月底,3塊15米長(zhǎng)的米色廣告牌上,簡(jiǎn)簡(jiǎn)單單刷著“(在‘e’的數(shù)列中所能找到的第一個(gè)十位數(shù)質(zhì)數(shù))。com”,沒(méi)有公司名也沒(méi)有任何廣告詞。
  花了幾秒鐘,路人才明白,這是一道數(shù)學(xué)題。自然常數(shù)e(2.718281828……)的第一個(gè)十位數(shù)質(zhì)數(shù),是目標(biāo)網(wǎng)站的名字。
  好奇分子忍不住用Google搜索起答案來(lái),壓根兒不曉得這就是Google出的“硬骨頭”考題。
  不少人后來(lái)在規(guī)定時(shí)間內(nèi),登錄上了www..然而,那不是夢(mèng)寐以求的終點(diǎn)站,Google惡作劇似的,為“高手”們?cè)诎肷窖O(shè)了個(gè)休息的小涼亭。
  www.里,貼出一條更令人頭疼的數(shù)學(xué)問(wèn)題,答出這個(gè)問(wèn)題,能得到進(jìn)入下一個(gè)網(wǎng)頁(yè)的密碼。
  跑完數(shù)學(xué)“馬拉松”,7500個(gè)“幸存者”走入Google實(shí)驗(yàn)室網(wǎng)頁(yè),成功投出簡(jiǎn)歷。最后,Google只要了50個(gè)人。“光以廣告而論,Google也算得上高段!”
  波士頓一家廣告公司的高級(jí)副總裁弗里茨。庫(kù)恩分析,“目標(biāo)人群看到廣告后會(huì)想,‘這是我的語(yǔ)言,那是沖著我來(lái)的’;對(duì)其他人而言,廣告也使Google的形象大大提升。他們可能會(huì)想,‘我是得不到這份工作的了。不過(guò),在那兒工作的人真聰明’。”
